I'm an old 3.14 enthusiast, while things took a turn for the worse since the introduction of v4, I have still been hoping to hear some good words regarding CIS.

Is v 11 leaning towards those who worshiped v3 or the future incarnations of CIS?

there have been a lot of ups and downs with CIS. Ever since Umesh has become the product manager of CIS the quality has dramatically improved. Umesh really listens to the users by fixing long standing bugs and implementing long standing wishes. IMO cis v11 is very good and will be even better once the option for "ask" autosandboxing is added in the Q3 release.

I would say give it a try and create a system image prior so you can revert if you hate it.

The BETA v11.0.0.6622 has more problems then 6606. I uninstalled it.

Beta versions can only be updated from the beta channel, AFAIK.

    Right.
I was trying to say, in response to @hawaii007's issue, that the internal updater won't pull updates unless you set things up right.

Based on what people are saying in the announcement thread it's best to uninstall the older version first. Apparently you can export the current configuration and import it afterward if you wish. I'm not using it at the moment though and can't say exactly how you go about it, but others here may be able to help.

Any pros and cons with Comodo? I recently installed 11.0.0.6710 and it seems to run ok. I don't see many posts regarding Comodo anymore. Why is this?

Because the program is so broken and buggy that the userbase gets smaller and smaller, at least on these forums.

It tried it on Win 10 1809, and I saw major bugs. But if you are still on 1803 or earlier, it might work for you.
Like @SHvFl said, Comodo is known for bugs, but it does have a dedicated user base, too.
