Comodo went corrupt and I had to uninstall as i couldn't get online. There is a file left in system 32 inspect.sys https://www.file.net/process/inspect.sys.html
which is a comodo file. But deleting this knocks off my internet. How can deleting a firewall file block internet.

I can't remember my Comodo password and don't have access to the email and cannot join as I didnt get the activating email despite several tries

    Hello,
I'm not a Comodo Firewall user but in this old thread, unfortunately not very helpful because the attached image is no longer available, a user had a similar issue https://forums.comodo.com/t/no-internet-connection-after-installing-and-uninstalling-comodo/268352. Maybe the official Comodo uninstaller could solve the issue, I don't know, you can find it here https://forums.comodo.com/t/official-comodo-uninstaller-v3-1-0-55-released/314767 If you choose to running it I think it's better to make a backup of file inspect.sys
Alternatively you can register to Comodo official forum and ask for help there https://forums.comodo.com/

Do you have tried with Comodo uninstaller ? Maybe something in normal uninstalling went wrong as that file wasn't uninstalled like it should be. Also can't you sign up to Comodo official forum with your e-mail address ? For sure on their forum they could help you better than me if you prefer ask for help there before running the Comodo uninstaller.

Understood. Probably it would need some more time for you to arrive. Also be sure to check your spam folder, of course.

    i have
I ran the comodo uninstaller and it worked. Was a bit wary it might delete something it shouldn't. It gives a serious warning..Thanks for your help

EDIT: That was an error above when I first said I ran the uninstaller. I meant I had it but was wary of it

I'm glad that it worked. I was afraid too it might not work. That's why I suggested to make a backup of file inspect.sys before running the Comodo uninstaller.

I had the same problem with Comodo last month...

    Connect to internet problem_09.JPG

I ran the latest Comodo uninstaller 3.4.0.101 which had a digital signature of February 2025, but it was no good.

I went looking in Google and found link to another Comodo uninstaller and it said to use and older version, i.e. 3.1.0.45 with a digital signature of May 2020. - https://forums.comodo.com/t/ciscleanuptool-x64-error/321303/5

    That did the trick.
