Comodo AntiVirus 1.1 rated 4/5 on Computer Active website

Now I love the Comodo firewall, but I thought the Comodo antivirus was way, way, way behind the pack. If it is anything like the firewall, I am sure it will get there in the end, but I didn't think it was there yet.

I am quite surprised to see it rated 4/5 on the Computer Active website (vnunet.com), when in fact it still in beta testing (which they don't mention).

Interestingly, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6 also gets 4/5, and there is no way these two are in the same ball park...

Does anyone use the Comodo antivirus? Has it improved, or is it still way off?

 

You shouldn't trust this site. Comodo Antivirus is far from being able to compete with Kaspersky. I dont even think it would even get the standard award on av-cmparatives. Though I do think it will be a good product in the future.

 

agree, also back in the days i tried their av it mucked up my machin, might have changed now though.

 

Agreed. This site is a joke. The only products that received a 5/5 were Panda products. That's just wrong. There is no way Panda is better than Kaspersky or Avira (4/5). I say move on. This site it not to be trusted.

I quite like the magazine (best selling computing magazine in the UK) although some of their reviews are terrible. It begs the question of whether they actually test the applications... If they do, how can they give Comodo Antivirus the same score as Kaspersky antivirus.

Many (possibly not that techie) people will download Comodo Antivirus via the Computer Active website thinking it is a good safe application, without even knowing it is still in beta testing.

i dont think their reviews are that bad, but where is the drweb review?
