    @fizbin,
Yes i have enabled Comodo's Sandbox (set to Untrusted).

I have to agree with kjdemuth reg. protection part. It protects very well agaisnt malware. usually i test malware from MDL in Sandboxie and once mistakenly i've run TDSS variant out of sandboxie and as expected Comodo successfully neutralized.

Yes, you need some tweaking for better protection.

    Thanks,
    Harsha.

    FYI

Just installed Comodo IS...everything enabled...sandbox set to untrusted.
    Virus database updated just fine.
I'm looking at this forum from within Sandboxie, everything is running smoothly.

    yes about acronis boot disks
what do you mean for acronis boot disks ? the acronis boot manager or the acronis cd recovery true image v10 or disk director ?
maybe you installed the suite firewall+antivirus, the antivirus did check boot sectors of disks and find something wrong and delete them ,like a virus

    this could be the reason

did this happen with the suite or the firewall only ?

    thanks

I am now using CIS Premium with sandboxie paid along with EMET with Defense + and sandbox enabled in comodo. I see no conflicts and everything is ok:)

Bootable rescue media is how Acronis refers to them... otherwise known as boot disks.
Sounds plausible, I guess, but there was no alert from CIS that an infection was found. There was no scanning either. Immediately after installation, 1st thing I wanted to do was update virus defs, and that was not happening. Here is a link to the CIS forum thread called Failed to update the virus signature database.

Okay, last time... as already stated, mantra, the boot disks stopped working upon installation of CIS, and started working when I restored an image (that did not have CIS onboard). I must say, I have zero interest in trying to discover WHY it was that way. I was curious at the time, but I've moved on, and the boot disks work fine now, which is what matters to me. :)

It's cool, mantra. I understand now.
I actually may try CIS or just the FW again someday.
It wasn't terrible or anything like that. Just a couple problems that needed to be ironed out and I didn't want to spend anymore time messing around.
Tomorrow is always another day, and who knows what it may bring. :)
