I installed command antivirus last night which was pretty painless got it updated and set to scan everything it is capable of out of the box (or download) I expected it to take about twelve to fifteen minutes like my avk pro. But to my suprise it scanned my hdd in four minutes and eleven seconds. The only other av that I have ever had that scanned in this time frame was nod32 about a year and a half ago. Granted I am only useing about ten gigs out of one twenty but that still seems fast. I had to scan three times before I would believe I had not missed any options to scan. I just posted this in case anyone is looking for possibly a second av most of the test' give a good grade. Anyway all of you have safe surfing on the web :)

I run Command as my main AV with Bit Defender free as backup, Command is easy on the system and has a good detection rate as well as what you said it is a winner, I was using NAV but it used a lot of system resourses and a lot of space and also caused BSOD. The other night I downloaded a major upgrade to Command if I needed a major upgrade with NAV I would have to pay for a new release.

    Stick with it

    Thanks

so far I like it a lot. And I have used fprot before which is about the same as command both use the fprot scan engine. First time for command but for now I will keep it. Very simple but secure.

    I agree with you.
Give a try on the BitDefender 7.0 FREE Edition (backup scan, not resident) (see more info). ;)

    Great by me...
"If you have one thousand friends,
You've not a friend to spare,
But if you have one enemy,
    You'll meet him everywhere."

May I suggest that you tone down your persistent and blatant plugs for Avast?

It's a good program, but everyone on this forum has his or her own favorite AV. If we all pitched our respective favorite AV as loudly as you do, this forum would soon resemble a commercial bulletin board.

thanks technical, I will give bitdefender 7.0 free a try. It never hurts to try something different than what were used to. A person might just find exactally what they were looking for. :D
