    I suspect that they're a bit late, especially if this "internet of things" includes vehicles.

    All people are not prepared for dangers that can come from using Internet. All we can do is try to raise the awareness of this dangers.

    Sadly, it's quite predictable and I'm surprised if this is the first post about murder by internet.

    Also many people commit suicide already by internet, e.g. they get critical drug by internet to die peacefully on suicide, or there're community for suicide where people exchange info about that.

    But apart from that, what matters now is IoT will surely kill people, just imagine attacker control car or anything. One might remind of old malware which physically broke the PC, and still now it is proven attacker can make fire remotely by attacking network printer.

    I never understand why some people are attracted by idea of smart car or smart home, they are not only unnecessary, but alos quite risky.
    It seems technology often goes to where people don't actually wanted.
