The gHacks post is a bit incorrect, IMHO. There has been ixquick.com which has been offering Google search results since, I believe, 2016 and has, thus, been equivalent to startpage.com. And there has been ixquick.eu which has been presented search results from multiple engines except Google. That this service is shut down now is a pity.
