combofix backup

One user from slovak forum asked me to remove malware. I recommended him ComboFix after HijackThis. ComboFix made own backup. How can I secure unzip this file? There are regedit.com.vir and taskmgr.com.vir

I want to send these files to virustotal and to ESET - samples.

 

They are already secured by their extension vir . It is non-executable so it will not hurt your computer at all . Just submit them as regular files

 

So, Do I delete .vir , only?

 

No , not necessary . Just submit them with their current vir extension . This way you'll not be able to execute the file(s) . AV programs can read the file even with that extension.

Thanks, I send it to virustotal and no antivirus found malware. So, I send it to ESET.
