Is this rule only available in the French version?
When I click on the link to copy it down, it takes me to the French version of the rules.

    Thanks

Language doesn’t matter, just import the rule anyways. :)

This is because the rule was initially created for users having a French ISP ("Club Internet").
Anyway, as Phant0m said the language of the rule doesn't matter.

This rule is about fragmented packets. Is it what you are looking for ?
Normally this rule is becoming obsolete with the 2.05p3, if you enable the IPFragActive flag in the registry which will automatically allow the right fragmented packets.

Actually, when I tried LnS with my previous router/modem, I obviously didn't have my rules setup correctly, and I needed this rule, that I didn't know existed at the time.

I have a new modem/router, uninstalled LnS, reinstalled modem/router, now I have reinstalled LnS. I have a fresh copy of the standard & enhanced ruleset. I still have some issues, but things are going better.

Anyway, I don't think I need this rule after all in looking at the logs!

    Thanks so much.

Oh and I forgot, I am so (unfortunately) a novice. So much so that could you please tell me how to check in the registry for this IPFragActive flag?

    THANKS!

Here is the information for this special flag (this is from lns-ActivateBetaFeatures.reg provided with the 2.05p3 version):

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lnsfw1]
    "IPFragActive"=dword:00000001

With regedit go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lnsfw1 and check if IPFragActive key is there.

No, I don't have the IPFragActive key in the registry (thank you for the instructions on finding that out!)
So, checked the version of LnS I have installed & it is 2.05.p2. Do I just need to download again from the website, or how do I get this upgrade? Also, can I install on top of the p2 version?

    Thanks

Edited: What I should have asked is, is the 2.05p3 version still BETA only?

    Hi hjbyram,

The 2.05p3 is available from here:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=98973

Yes it is still a beta, but stable if you don't activate the experimental features (default case if you just install it on top of the 2.05p2 and you do nothing else).
However this flag for IP Fragments, is Ok to be enabled.
