Anyone out there using a cloud service like OneDrive (or Google Drive) together with a virtual encrypted drive, such as VeraCrypt , to be stored within OneDrive. The VeraCrypt virtual encrypted drive to be mounted before use. Am using Office 365 and basically have a 1TB OneDrive that goes with O365 I am considering to: 1. to relocate OneDrive to another partition (my 512GB SSD C-drive is too small) 2. then create a virtual encrypted disk on OneDrive 3. copy important files in there as a backup (Office documents, PDFs, etc) 4. the folders/files within the encrypted disk are NOT to be synchronized (deselect in OneDrive settings - "Choose folders"), else OneDrive may start synchronizing whereas the encrypted container drive may not have been mounted. So: manual sync. I have no experience with this nor with file encryption. Note: I think... file encryption will use more resources than copying files to a virtual encrypted drive. A virtual encrypted drive may take some time to create in first instance, but after that it is like any other drive.
