Close Programs Window displays a different language.

When I open the Close Programs dialog box, the "End Task" Shut Down and "Cancel" buttons are in a different language.(Scandinavian I think) I am from the US and speak english. It was in english until after I installed yahoo instant messenger. I've removed instant messenger but buttons did not return to english. I appreciate any help you are able to provide.
End Task now says "avsluta aktivitet"
Shut Down now says "avsluta windows"
Cancel now says "avbryt"

I've followed the General Virus and Trojan removal instructions suggested by this site - no change aftre I rebooted.
I've run Adware - no viruses/trojans/malware found.
I've run F-secure's online scanner - no viruses found
I ran PanaSoft's online Activescan - "thun.dll", "Ttpzzp.exe", and "Sysmon.exe" were found. I manually deleted these items.

I ran System File Checker and restored 1 file - "setupx.dll"
I rebooted but I still have the same problem.

Please help!

I think you have a "Swedish" version of the kernel32.dll file (usually located in C:\windows\system\)

Maybe try re-extracting the kernel32.dll file off your Windows 98 CD.

Of course, this is at your own risk.
