    Hey guys,

I've introduced recently my new Application Cleanmgr+ to you, which is discussed on Wilders forums here
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thr...replacement-for-microsoft-disk-cleanup.416181

Let me introduce another free software of mine to you, called CloneApp and CloneApp UA (for Universal Apps) It is longer on the market (about 3,5 years but certainly not everyone will know it) The idea behind CloneApp is a bit different from the "classic" backup tool.

CloneApp is a backup tool that is designed to back up a variety of program configuration files as well as application settings that stored in file system and the registry. This includes many popular third party programs like 7-Zip, Adobe Reader, Classic Shell, Gimp, Google Chrome, Google Earth, IrfanView, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office 2010/ 2013, Firefox, Opera, VLC Media Player, and it can preserve plenty of Windows settings, too: Favorites, Contacts, Network folder settings, Start Menu and more.

CloneApp UA supports the same functionality as CloneApp but for Microsoft Store applications ONLY, aka Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps.

More Information about it can be found here
    CloneApp: https://www.getclone.app/ms-apps/cloneapp
    CloneApp UA: https://www.getclone.app/ms-apps/cloneapp-ua

    Download CloneApp (Latest version)

    CloneApp UA: https://www.getclone.app/ua

CloneApp can be extended with Plug-ins, Themes and Localization files.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Belim,

Thanks. I had a quick look at CloneApp and at the list of supported programs https://www.getclone.app/apps
I saw in that list mentioned Mozilla Thunderbird.
Could you please tell us what exactly from Thunderbird is back-upped? Do I understand you right that only settings etc are back-upped but not the emails?
PS: in the past (for years) I used programs from AJSystems that could backup everything from Thunderbird, Outlook, Outlook Express etc. But the developper retired. The old thread is here

    Hi FanJ,

CloneApp is backing up the complete Profile of Mozilla Thunderbird in AppData directory.
Im not sure whether the Email are also stored in this Profile o_O. I don't think so, like .PST files (Outlook) for sure in Windows %Documents% dir.

Am giving CloneApp a try. Have a question: how to also backup Microsoft Office files with extensions
    .acl
    .dic
    .officeUI

    whilst using CloneApp.

    --later--
How about adding Outlook.srs and Outlook.xml to CloneApp backup

    Thanks.

    Hey there,

I am looking for a way to localize all files and registry from multiple software installed on my system so I can make my own plugins for CloneApp.
I am talking about like 50+ programs. Could you recommend a way to get those locations in an easy way?

Would be great if there was a software from which I could export all those folder locations and registry entries to convert to the required format for CloneApp by just locating the .exe or .dll.
PS: I am using a lot of audio production plugins which do not have .exe but use .dlls they are also registered in the registry. Would be great if I could clone them to my new Win 10 OS.

    Thanks in advance!
