I just bought a new CPU.
It has a larger faster HD.
I plan to wipe it & then copy my existing drive to it.

Will Clone disk do this for me or do I need to get Migrate Easy?

If I use Clone Disk will the original disk still be usable as is?

Can I keep it as a backup?

I'm assuming that by "new cpu" you mean new computer system, even if it is just the box. You might want to rethink Cloning the drive from the old system to the drive on the new system.
Now is an ideal time to get rid of the junk that accumulates in the Windows Registry. I would start afresh and reinstall all the programs. If you have documents or other data files that you want on the new system then either do that by installing the old drive in the new box and use Windows Explorer to move them or burn the files to CD/DVD from the old system.

I agree with Chutsman. If what you have is a new computer system, then you should definitely not try migrating your present OS to the new computer.
