When I clicked the X in the TDS window title bar a confirmation window was displayed asking me if I wanted to close all TDS child processes. When I clicked No I didn't expect TDS to quit, but it did.

I thought this might be an option, so I looked through the Options and found a "Confirm Before Quit" option that was surprisingly disabled. When I disabled it and tried quitting, TDS just quit without any confirmation dialog. When I enabled it again and quit, TDS also quit without confirmation.

TDS doesn't seem to pay any attention as to whether this option is enabled or disabled, and just quits without any sort of confirmation.

Just tried quitting TDS with the menu option and a confirmation is given.

    So, my questions are:

    1) Should a confirmation be given when the X is clicked ?

    2) What was the initial confirmation I got asking whether I wanted to close all TDS child processes ? I don't get this any more.

That was asking you if you want to also close sub-windows you've presumably opened in TDS, like TCP connect, service explorer etc.

Don't know about your other question tho.

Confirm before Quit doesn't work for me either.

Did you ever solve this problem? A fresh install, maybe...

As far as I know, that confirmation does indeed not show up.
Well, no biggie for me ;)

    What is up with that?

It force of habit for me to close security programs like that, since all of them go down to the tray...

DOCS needs to fix that, even if it's no big deal for some users, it's still a setting I'd like to have enabled. I'm sure Defenestration would aswell.

    Hi,

I'm not quite sure whether I understood you right.
What I was talking about, was the option in :
Configuration > Options > Misc Options tab
There is an option called "Confirm Before Quit".
Well, even having put a checkmark in it, I don't see such a confirmation.
And, as far as I remember, others don't see it either.
As I said, it really is no biggie for me !!!

    Hi, TylerGred

You will only be asked for confirmation if TDS-3 is Minimised to the Taskbar and you tell it to Exit.

    Take Care,

I have TDS minimizing to systray, so i can use the quicklaunch. I do get the confirmation message if i want to close it and if there are child processes running get a question about terminating those too.

There seems to be a difference wether you quit with the X on top or with the quit option in the menu items.
This could add to the confusion about getting a confirmation message or not.
So we all are right here!
