    Hello everyone I am new to these forums. Recently I have been getting more pop-ups than normal so I decided to run Spy-Bot S&D since I hadn't run it in over a month. I started it and got all recent updates. After the scan I had to problems, multiple entries for CleverIEHooker.Jeired and ClientMan. I fixed all selected problems and as I always do I ran the scan one more time. This time only a single entry for Jeired showed up. This annoyed me slightly because I had just cleared my system, I fixed it and restarted the computer. After restart I scanned again and all the entries were back, so I came online to find out how to remove this pest.

    Hopefully everyone here can help me out. I have run Spybot and HijackThis. Here is my log:

    Thanks to anyone that can help me out.

    PS. Once I clear it how can I prevent this from happening again?

    *EDIT* I am also getting an error telling me IE has to close and then gives me the options to Send Error Report or Don't Send. If I click Don't Send I get a box that says IE has an error and has to close and if the problem persists to restart computer. It only contains an OK button and closes all open windows when clicked. I am still getting it after several restarts

    Hi sign,

    Check the following items in HijackThis.
    Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://opti.riviera.cc (obfuscated)...SearchAssistant = [url]http://opti.riviera.cc (obfuscated)
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://riviera.cc (obfuscated)
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://opti.riviera.cc (obfuscated)...om/install/00015/chm.chm: :/files/initial.cab

    Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\idctup20.exe
    C:\Program Files\TV Media <= entire folder
    C:\Program Files\zSearch <= entire folder
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\msgked.exe
    C:\Documents and Settings\Kyle Bea\Application Data\ocru.exe

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Thank you Pieter it seems to be clean now. I fixed all those entries and deleted the items you mentioned. Then when my computer restarted I ran ad-aware and Spybot and Spybot come up with one more CleverIEHooker entry so I fixed it and restarted again. After second restart everything come up clean.

    Here is my most recent HijackThis log if you wouldn't mind giving it one final look-over. If you don't have time no worries.

    Thank you,
    Kyle
