Clean / Scrub pdf docs

Hi,

Is there a way to clean / scrub pdf docs?

I don't want my name to show as author.

Is this something ID Blaster can help with?

I'm pretty sure ID-Blaster won't do what you are looking for. I know Javacool makes docscrubber but I believe it only works on .doc files.

 

How do you create your pdf files?

If you are using a pdf printer (e.g. I use Edocprinter pdf pro from Itech) to convert Word documents, then if you delete the author name from the Word document properties before converting to pdf, the pdf will not show author name. The same would apply if converting from any app that has file or document properties option.

If you are using software such as Adobe Acrobat to create a pdf file directly, I would think that you can edit the file properties page before saving (not sure as I don't have that; I'm going by analogy with Word doc files).

I use Adobe Elements 6.0 and convert Word Docs.

I scrub the word doc first then use Elements...but my name is showing up as the author. I just want this to be blank.
