Hmm, never thought people cared about WCL's certification (other than for a sticker you can add to your product or image on your website).

Congratulations to Comodo from me as well.Let's hope the right next step is AV Comparatives, that way a lot of people will stop bashing Comodo.AND because a lot of them do really care about AV comparatives.

I already knew it was good, but certifications are always a plus.

    I would say yes :D
You should try it. You can always keep avast and install CIS without the AV.

As far as I am aware you can pass West Coast Labs just by keep paying them (for the test) up to when you get it. Just a trial and error exercise...

So, I understand the excitement but I would put this certification on much lower level than other testing like av-comparatives were you actually see when (and how) a software has failed not just when it has passed. ;)

Don't take it personal its not a bush on Comodo. In principle, it applies to all product 'certified' by westcostlabs.

May be they have changed their approach recently?

Currently, I don't think so. But there's always the future to look forward to.
