As major repositories already include Chromium, I think it won't happen.

    Thank you kindly,
I did notice the site offers versions minus webrtc and widevine etc and maybe linux versions could be available.

Yes, I thought that is your interest. Maybe Linux user is expected to compile it by themselves...:(

    Awesome thank you!

Question on GPO. I see you have to enable the updating of Google Chrome Enterprise via GPO which I did. Question though, does this handle just the updating of Chrome itself? What about chrome://components/ a la Flash Player? I have not had it rolled out long enough to find this out myself at work yet. Was curious if you knew and how you handle the updating of it?

    Thanks!

@Trooper You're welcome. I apologize, but I don't know the answer to any of those questions. I have only got some basic group policy settings working initially but have not had the time to dig in further and explore more settings yet. If you figure any of those out, please feel free to share here in the thread how you resolved it.

No worries. I will investigate it a bit more and post back. Thank you.

Thanks WBD, and shared by others im sure.

Now that I have finally resorted to FFQ for the first time in centuries lol it looks like the right time to add this one and do the compare runs. Browsers seem like a motorway anymore with multiple hazards to take charge of with add-ons etc.

I tried to use 64 bit archive version on Windows 7 x64 but no luck so far. Browser just closes after few seconds of usage. Tried with new profile with no luck. Anybody else has this problems?

@Minimalist Are you running a Stable channel build or Dev build?
Does your Windows 7 x64 have all of the latest updates?

Particularly, I have seen issues with other apps on Windows 7 which did not have the latest hashing algorithm updates. I don't know if that is the case here or not but that is the first thing that came to mind at the moment.

Anyone else seeing a "utility" Medium IL process that is not within an AppContainer sandbox? I am comparing the same Stable channel build to the official Chrome stable build and only the Chromium build seems to have this.

I am guessing maybe it is some sort of "field trial" but cannot narrow it down yet.

EDIT: This utility process seems to be some sort of Audio service.

I'm using stable channel and have installed all Windows 7 updates. I will do some more tests and see if I can figure it out.
