I noticed I have 212 extensions described as "blacklist": true in Preferences (/home/vasa1/.config/google-chrome/Default/Preferences).
I wonder why. Why don't they just yank them from the Web Store? Or is there some other reason for storing these entries on users' computers o_O

Firefox has this as well. Right now it's still possible to install extensions from outside of the webstore so pulling them from the store wouldn't do much (they likely already have been pulled if they were ever there.)

Even when Chrome 22 hits stable and we're locked to teh store there will be ways around that so the blacklist will likely stay.
