A biometric multi-factor authentication can now be used (voice, fingerprint, retina, etc. instead of entering of a password). For example:
Here's so info about how it might not work. Passwords may be safer for people who can manage them properly. https://www.the-parallax.com/2017/02/21/risks-biometric-identification/
New "Refresh" UI (beginning stages) on Chrome 67 Stable chrome://flags/#top-chrome-md Choose either Refresh or Touchable
Maybe this: https://www.computerworld.com/article/3269115/web-browsers/chromes-canary-reveals-ui-refresh.html
@guest @Victek That's right, I forgot that they had released an earlier version of that top UI flag with the Refresh option a few months earlier. Although the design has changed considerably since that time. The curves from the tabs has been removed and curves added to the omni box. Also, the "user profile" icon which was typically in the title bar has been moved down to the main browser UI instead. And the "Touchable" top UI option has been added to the flag which is simply a larger version of the "Refresh" top UI theme for touch screen devices. So "Refresh" and "Touchable" top UI themes are essentially the same except for the size and spacing. They are referring to this as a Material Design Refresh, essentially. But this is a flag and is still an evolving development so it's subject to continual change before it is complete. EDIT: The Dark design is not part of the flag though, that is just based on the Chrome theme that I am using at the moment. The Refresh top UI redesign seems to work well no matter which Chrome theme is being used and looks pretty decent with the default theme as well.

Thank you the notification, Mister X. Various components also have updates available, including Adobe Flash Player - Version: 30.0.0.113. I don't know about everyone else, but I have to update each of the 12 components manually. And once again, I received a desktop dialog pop up message (as previously posted) informing me that Chrome was out of date. Very helpful!
Same here, however, I'm using the Portable version from PortableApps.com and thought the components' manual update is inherent to that version.
I have to do similar on my computer at work. I have scheduled update tasks disabled and update service set to manual, if that makes any difference.
FYI. Google Chrome Portable 67.0.3396.79 Stable (web browser) Released for the PA Platform, courtesy of PortableApps.com.
What differences do you see? I set that flag to "refresh" but I don't see a change (I'm running the latest release build).
It looks just like this minus his dark theme. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/chrome-stable-channel-update.355822/page-65#post-2761192
Thanks for linking the screenshot. I tried switching between the various modes and can see now what the differences are. So far I like the "refresh" the best for the desktop.
Do you mind linking me to that dark them again please? Also, do you know of a way or an extension that will allow me to email a pdf from within the Chrome browser?
Sure thing: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/minimalist-dark/cgkkkfadlakkgiiipeafiogaogdgfkaj Unfortunately I don't have an answer to the second question though regarding emailing a PDF within Chrome. Hopefully someone else might have an answer to that.
On a side note, the Stable channel (67) of Chrome has finally incorporated the fix for "chrome://flags/#windows10-custom-titlebar" flag. So that flag is no longer necessary and the fix is on by default otherwise Chrome themes looked terrible on Windows 10 prior to that flag/fix. Another positive note is that with Chrome 67, they also fixed the 1px that was unclickable on the right hand side of the close button to close out of the browser. This was only noticeable to users who were running the "chrome://flags/#windows10-custom-titlebar" flag anyhow, but it is fixed now on stable channel.
I like the Minimalist Dark theme There's another I was using called Morpheon Dark that you might like too.
