  4. Yep for me to go back to Chromium. After all with PAPI supported by Adobe, the security downfall is limited, since FLASH updates in UAC protected folders it maybe even safer:

    - FLASH set "CLICK TO PLAY" with a generic allow rule for HTTPS://*:443
    - JAVASCRIPT default deny with generic allow rule for HTTPS://*:443 and high level domains [*.]NL and [*.]COM

Curious if anyone else is running Chrome with these flags enabled?

Enable Out-of-process V8 Proxy Resolver.Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS
Enable Out-of-process V8 Proxy Resolver. Runs the V8 proxy resolver in a utility process instead of inside the browser process.

Enable out of process iframes Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Android
Highly experimental support for rendering cross-site iframes in separate processes. #enable-site-per-process

    Seriously?

Those flags are new - I see posters writing about other new features. If you are going to be anal about that you can delete close to half the posts in this thread.

The intent of this thread, when it was started a couple of years ago, was to focus on Chrome Stable Channel Updates.

This focus inevitably leads to discussion of problems that may arise with the updating process, or with the implementation of the updates. To some extent, new features introduced with the update tend to be discussed, but hopefully not too much.

Beyond that, it is recommended that members start their own thread.

There are posts in this thread that are not strictly about Chrome updates. Many involving sandboxie Maxthon, HTTPS Everywhere which has ZERO to do with Chrome updates.

In fact one such cache of comments you personally responded to a post about a chrome:flags to turn off the avatar user menu in chrome:flags. That is no different from my mentioning these flags which are new in Chrome.

So chrome:flags bad for me, chrome:flags good for everyone else? I get it now. I'll leave you to your thread.

I think my above post covered it fairly clearly. I noted the intent of the thread, and the hope that participants would stay within certain guidelines. But I am not a moderator. Just a member like you. I appreciate contributions. We all do. And now back to our regularly scheduled programming. :thumb:

46.0.2490.86 also fixes an information leak in PDF viewer.

Damn they have forced the username button on everyone now, adding --disable-new-avatar-menu to the chrome shortcut & disabling it in chrome://flags no longer works
