Check for udates - apparent error

Hi, newbie here.

I loaded Spywareblaster last night of my GF's computer. I downloaded the updates and installed, no problem.

However, for the heck of it, I later searched for updates again and immediatly recieved a message prompt that said something about the udates couldn't be found because of a firewall, or because the site was down, etc. Although I shut off the firewall, I still got the same message. I went home and tried on my computer to search for updates and all worked well.

I think something may be outta wack. I even uninstalled and reinstalled, but still got the same message. Any thoughts as to how to fix?

Thank you, I will.

I just called her and had her run the udate check again. She still gets the message I mentioned. Then, I just came over to my computer and checked for updates and got the appropriate response "no updates available", so I'm still thinking something is corrrupt. I'll check her program again later though and see.

One other thing you can try: download the following four files and overwrite the ones currently in your SpywareBlaster directory (C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster by default):

http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster/sbinfo.dtb
