We have a new administration server up, the old one had a hardware issue and died. I've seen the white papers on how to move clients from old to new but it always details using the old to do the move. How can you do this with just the new server? I've tried pushing the config files but they just site there, and i believe it's because it's not the same admin server vs the client's admin server.

Well - the clients all point to the old server name so they will never query the new server name without contacting the old server to get a new configuration.

In your DNS server you could create a CNAME record with the old server name pointing to the new server name.

When the clients then query the old server name they will be redirected to the new server where they can get a new configuration changing the RA Server name.
