Sigh, updated and it STILL completely destroys the order of favorites on the favorites bar in IE9. :cautious:

How exactly does CCleaner detect what application we got? My bet is that it looks for information in C:\Program Files, user profile folder and registry, perhaps?

I wonder because moments ago I noticed that it detects Google Chrome, despite the fact that I don't use it. I do use Chromium, but it's not installed to user space, nor it's installed in a "normal" folder in %ProgramFiles%. There are also no registry keys created.
The Chromium profile folders aren't placed at conventional path... so...

So, how does CCleaner exactly detect the applications? I couldn't find relevant information at CCleaner's website.

If someone could share their knowledge, I'd appreciate. :)

for people that already have ccleaner installed, ther doesnt seem to be a diff (this is the 3rd time ive updated it and NEVER got a prompt about installing any browsers/toolbars or whatnot)

I imagine it looks in a few different locations. One in particular

    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
