It doesn't include bundled toolbars/software so no "unchecking" is necessary.

I download the standard version and it doesn't ask to install bundled software. But I think it offered on the first install a few years ago. I declined.

I believe the included toolbar is only for IE so if your default browser is not set to to IE, it will not offer to install the toolbar.

    OK. I use Firefox.

Do you know what " Added free text entry for include and exclude items. " means in this latest version?

Slim is for the stubborn, believe me I tried too many times to convince others. I just use portable, thanks for notifying.

I am not sure yet. As somebody else here posted, I am one of those "stubborn" slim users :ouch:. If this new improved option gives me more easy to use options to include and exclude items, I would be very happy as I use "include" and "exclude" in CCleaner > Options.

With Piriform products, I've been having the issue with installing new versions. It will be installing and then said it failed to open CCleanerx64.exe for writing or something, and I can either Abort, Ignore, or Retry. I have to uninstall the program completely and reinstall to successfully do it.

Same functionality with less bloat and no chance of an unwanted toolbar at a later date.

Worked it out. You can copy/paste the path to the Include/Exclude folders instead of having to Browse.

Are you using a limited user account? Just the other day I had trouble installing a program and had to run the installer as admin for it to install. I knew the program was reputable but I have no idea what security implications if any installing as admin may cause. I'm new as a standard user.

I am afraid to install any new versions because of the
"Cloud" threat. I want NOTHING to do with the Cloud.
Is the Cloud included with these new versions?

That's too funny! "Is the cloud included with these new versions?"

..but it is a very real concern. I, too, shy away from programs that are "too connected".
