A new version of CCleaner is available. I couldn't find the slim build (no toolbar) on the download page though. I could only find the standard and portable versions. Anyone know if they aren't going to offer the slim version anymore or if they just haven't put it up on the website yet?

Anyway here is the changelog for the new version:

    v3.00.1303 (28 Oct 2010) - New CCleaner 64-bit native EXE.
    - New UI graphics and icons.
    - New internal scanning architecture.
    - New Drive Wiper tool screen under Tools section.
    - New Intelligent cookie keeping functionality.
    - Improved support for IE9.
    - Improved support for Google Chrome.
    - Improved HTML5 Database Storage cleaning.
    - Added support to clean Microsoft Silverlight Isolated Storage.
    - Added support for AVG AntiVirus 10.0, Audacity, LogMeIn Hamachi, BitTorrent and Windows Game Explorer.
    - Improved support for Vuze.
    - Added new environment variables: %SystemDirectory%, %SystemDirectory32% and %SystemDirectory64%.
    - Improved Registry backup to address problems when saving values.
    - Improved cleaning Windows Log Files for 64-bit OSs.
    - Many UI improvements and bug fixes.

The slim version will be available apparently. They always tend to wait a day or so before putting it up on the builds page.

No more Yahoo toolbar on the full build, instead it offers a Google Chrome install.

There is a new 'drive Wiper' tool ( "which allows users to securely erase the contents or free space on a specified drive")....... as well as 'Wipe free space' o_O

    What toolbar? Please clarify?

I downloaded the regular version. Didn't see any mention of a toolbar.

On the full version install, there is a pre-ticked option to install Google Chrome.

Even with the Chrome checkboxes cleared before install, it does a little outbound connect to 174.133.64.236, port 80 (Theplanet.com Internet Services, Houston) during the install. Oh well, still a nice little utility.
