I'll take this and never want anything else. Something about these old Chevy pickups.

I've long forgotten about my gas mileage ... All I know with comuting to work ... I'm at the pumps rain or shine every 3 days ... I don't even look at the gas gauge any more ... and that's even with leaving the V8 in the driveway ... and taking the Van to work (3.8ltr [3800] V6). Poor me :'(

Anybody agree with me:-best looking and meanest car ever the original Shelby Cobra 427(over here in blighty we referred to them as the AC Cobra 427 cos they provided the body)I'm old enough to remember the original road tests and nothing since(inc McLaren F1!)has given such a leap forward in performance:- road testers words (when comparing it to a Ferrari,Daytona I think)was they may as well compare the Ferrari to a Phantom jet fighter as to the Cobra as ther was such difference!

I like the sports cars too, but check out this dream machine: :D
    http://www.theaircar.com/
I know it's goofy looking, but it is only their first model.
It runs on compressed air and it costs about $4,000 US.
Imagine, no gas needed, zero pollution, and no more oil dependencies on other countries.
As I have my own never ending supply of hot air, I'd be set. :)
It is available in France. If it were available in the US today, I would buy one.
Hopefully, the oil and car lobbies don't throw up so many obstacles that it doesn't get here. :doubt:

That is great service from a car. BMW's have a look all their own.

I thought Lotus was sold in the States at one time.

They sold the Esprit for years. Nice car, but not my style of driving. The Elise weighs 1900 lbs. It's a drivers car, for people that live to drive.

If your talking pure drivers cars look up info on Radical , Ultima or Noble:- small(even smaller than lotus) British manufacturers and all of them better than the lotus:-Radical uses a Suzuki m/bike engine and is the fastest "track day" car you can buy!(pic I use for avator is an Ultima!)
