Can't uninstall SpyGuard

    I want to uninstall Spyguard but there is no uninstall file.
    That's the message I get when I go to the uninstall program in the Control panel.
    Can anybody help? Thank you.

    There are a lot of programs that use variations on the name "SpyGuard". Can you confirm which one you have installed? Maybe show a screen image of what program windows and icons it has?

    "Javacool Software's SpywareGuard" is the one that is supported in this forum. Here's a link to its webpage:

    If that is the program you are referring to, you could down the program again from that webpage. Install it. And then run the uninstall option, which should be there following a fresh install.

    We also have a thread here about forcing an uninstall of it, which includes a registry file that can be used to disable SpywareGuard if it is already running:

    If you have one of the many rogue/spyware infections that use variations on the name SpyGuard, the newest one being called "SpywareGuard2008" - then those are not associated with Javacool, and the above removal won't help.
