Can't start Computer after using drive backup 9.0 free edition

    After installation I wanted to make a drive backup
    target was external hd. I was prompted to restart
    the pc but now I can't use it anymore as it says
    "there are no item to select" upon start-up. Please help,
    what can I doo_O

    If you created the recovery disk, boot to it and update the MBR or resume the backup. If you have the Windows installation CD, you can run a repair and update the MBR. If you do not have either CD, from a computer with a CD/DVD burner, install the program and create the recovery disk.

    Well, the only thing that finally got my PC back to work
    was Partition Wizard Bootable PC. Thanks for trying to
    help, though
