I'm waiting for an answer from the official Ubuntu Forums so i'll see if any of yall have advice. Toshiba L875 with W7/Ubuntu 14.04 on it.

When i tuen it on it goes to grub rescue, but through googling I found : set boot=(hd1,msdos2)
    set prefix=(hd1,msdos2)/boot/grub
    insmod normal

I got an error of " hd1 cannot get C/H/S values"

So i tried to boot using those methods and nothing..any advice?

Rescatux used to work pretty good for me in fixing boot problems.

I used a combo of F2 (after I jumped the system to the boot menu) and reinstalling Ubuntu 14.04 to fix the issue.
