Can't install NOD32 64bit on vista Home premium 64 bit - error code 2229

Hi,

I just purchased NOD32 for Windows vista 64bit, but when I try to install the package, I immediatly get a message saying: "An unforseen problem has surfaced, this may mean there is a problem with the package. The error code is 2229" (The text is translated from danish, so may not be the exact wording, but the error code at least is).

Any idea what to do?

I am running Vista Home premium 64bit SP1, on a Intel core duo CPU E8400 3.00 GHz, 8 GB RAM, Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard.

 

Do you by any chance have remnants from an old AV? What I mean by this is some AV's don't uninstall fully when you remove them and leave stuff behind, sometimes ESET does not like this. Could this be an issue? Have you previously used an AV on this machine?

 

I have previously had the symantic 60 day trial, and last time the AVG free. Both have been uninstalled, and their removal prgrams have been run..
I must admit I kinda gave up and found another AV
