Can't install ESET NOD32 Smart Security

I am trying to install Eset Smart Securty. I receive the following error

"Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\Drivers\epfwndis\epfwndis.sys. Verify that you have access to that directory"

I logged in as administrator so i have full access

I had ESET NOD32 Antivirus installed and first removed it.
Also used the NOD32removal tool.

I run XP pro

The folders are not being deleted when you uninstall. You will need to delete the folders manually from Safe Mode and then try to install again. The Knowledgebase article below has the information on what folders to delete:

If you can reinstall the old version of ESET/NOD32 do it and then try removing or uninstalling it using Revo Uninstaller. When removing the registry entries, choose only the bolded items and let Revo do the work for you. Select any folders which need to be removed and let Revo continue.

Reboot PC

Install ESET NOD32 Smart Security.

I had a simullar problem, where something whent wrong when uninstalling, and then i couldent re-install ESET V3.

After following all the other tricks, to go into the regedit, and delete "ESET"-entryes, after deleteing folders, and what not.. no luck

"Revo Uninstaller" were the golden key, thx for posting m8.
