can't get rid of tvm.exe!

    Hi!
    My pc got infected with a lot of stuff 3 days ago, ad-aware deleted most of it. I still have an entry called tv media in programs and I can't delete it. Ad-aware doesn't recognize it...So I installed hijackthis and here is my log....
    I use norton 2004, ad-aware and a hardware firewall

    Any harmless extension will do. Try naming it hosts.bck
    It is only a test meant to find out if the problem is in there.

    Errmmm. I think you would need a firewall to control that and I don't see one running.

    I would at least stop the process when your cousin is not helping, because it looks like a big risk to me:

    and I think it can certainly be used to use your computer as a spambot (sending unwanted email from your computer, which would explain some of the symptoms)

    A hardware firewall is a good start to block unsollicited inbound traffic.
    I think you can see the weak points from that sentence.

    If outbound is not checked, how do you control what gets sollicited?
