    I have been using Acronis TrueImage 8.0 for some time, and really have come to appreciate its usefulness.

    HOWVER, I just purchased TrueImage 9.0 online and downloaded it, and I am REALLY disappointed! I CAN'T INSTALL IT! :mad:

    When I try to install TrueImage, I get to the screen that says "Install Acronis TrueImage, click on the "button" and immediately receive the following message (in POOR English):

    E00640003: The (sic) error was encountered while (sic) the installation.
    Acronis installation program encountered the error #2: "the system cannot find the file specified"

    As I mentioned earlier, I already have installed Acronis 8.0 without any trouble. I am logged on as an administrator and have full rights to everything on this computer.

    HELP! :doubt:

    Hello Hammerz,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Please accept our apologies for your inconvenience. Please do the following in order to check out the integrity of the installation package?

    - Download the checksum utility from http://www.acronis.com/files/support/xcsc.zip
    - Run the application and click on the ellipsis sign to browse and select the installation package you downloaded;
    - The MD5 value for Acronis True Image 9.0 build 2254 must be 76930b48712df673ca5fc5770eedf838

    If the checksum of a installation file is ok, please do the following:

    * Copy the Acronis True Image installation file to the C: partition
    * Open the command prompt: Start -> Run -> cmd
    * Issue the following command: C:\"installation_file_name" /log
    * Go through the installation wizard to reproduce the problem
    * Then send install.log from the folder Acronis True Image has been installed to (C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImage by default) to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread.

    Also please create a screen shot of the error message and send it to us. We will certainly help you with the solution.

    Thank you.

    Hello Irina,

    Reading your response to this posting I have a couple of questions. I have run the checksum utility and pointed it to the downloaded executable file 'TrueImage9.0_s_en.exe'. Comparing the results I obtained against your comments I find that there are some differences. These are as follows:
    1. True Image 9.0 build 2254, I have build 2245.
    2. MD5 value = 76930b48712df673ca5fc5770eedf838, I find this to be:
    MD5 value = 04FC5ADF7EBA23688D1FD63AF632FF23.

    Best regards,
    Bruce Mahnke

    you must be joking

    76930b48712df673ca5fc5770eedf838 is MD5 for TI 8 build 937
    anyone can verify that

    and setup file "trueimage9.0_s_en.exe" actually IS trueimage 8.0 build 937,
    just renamed
    ( size 25.921.880 bytes, MD5=76930b48712df673ca5fc5770eedf838 )

    ridiculous o_O

    Hello Bruce Mahnke,

    Please accept my apologies for my mistake. First of all the build is 2245 and the MD5 value for the trueImage9.0_s_en.exe file is 22529197b867cc10e283e5f6a258b97e. Please try to download the installation file again.

    Thank you.
