    1. I create a new task and run that task.

    2. Later, I want to edit that task, but the external drive to which I stored the TIB file is offline, and that drive letter is not available.

    3. Under these circumstances, I receive the following error message:

E00640064: Cannot resolve the destination path for the backup archive.

Cannot resolve the destination path: H:\Documents May 2, 2006.tib. You should edit this task.

This is an ironic error message, since the very thing I am trying to do (edit the task) is the solution TrueImage proposes to fix the problem!

This same problem has been reported at least three times in the past in this forum, but it continues to be an unresolved bug in the current release (Build 3567). Here are the links to those other posts:

    Hello johnmeyer,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please be aware that this issue is known already. It will be fixed in the future builds\versions of the product. Please accept our apologies for the current inconvenience.

The current version of Acronis True Image 9.0 Home allows you to edit the scheduled task only if the target storage device for backup is accessible. Please follow the instructions provided by Alexey in this post if you would like to delete these tasks.

    Thank you.
