Can't connect PS3 Media Server with ESET SS 6 installed

I never had any problems without ESET installed. I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials for years now and no issues.

Last week I decided to give ESET Smart Security 6 a try, and immediately I was unable to connect to my PS3 media server.

I tried for hours to get it connected, and when I scoured Google I came to the ESET website which gave instructions for doing it on ESET 5, but those instructions are not valid for ESET 6 as the settings menu is drastically different.

I ended up uninstalling ESET so that I could use my PS3 Media Server, and immediately after uninstalling ESET, my PS3 Media Server worked again.

I would like to actually use ESET but please tell me how I can use it with PS3 Media Server, because if I can't use PS3 Media Server with ESET then I will not use ESET at all.

Moreover, I will either use ESET 6 or not use ESET at all.

Have you seen this link about : How do I configure ESET Smart Security to allow media streaming to my Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3? if not you can give it a try. Another alternative link which have worked for me,: http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13497. If everything should fail then create a log of all connections blocked by the ESET Personal firewall and send it to Eset support to solve your issue.
