I was using a PCMCIA card for the coning but it was painfully slow. Took 10 hours to clone a 60 Gig hard drive. They told me the USB drive would be faster so I got one of those.
I have a Toshiba Satelite notebook computer and I got an external USB hard drive to use as a backup clone. After I start the clone process True Image sees the USB drive but when the process goes into it's re-boot into what I assume is a kind of DOS mode, it can't see the USB drive any longer and fails.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks, David40

    Hello David40,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Did you create Acronis Bootable CD? Please boot from it, if you don't see your USB drive please try the "acpi=off noapic" workaround and if it doesn't help please create sysinfo.txt file and send to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread (please see https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317 for the detailed instructions). Also please let us know the vendor of the drive and the exact model of the drive. We will certainly help you with the solution.

    Thank you.
