'Cannot Restore the original Configuration'

    Hi there!

    I have a problem regarding Acronis True Image. I tried to search the forums for this error message but i couldnt get any results.

    Anyway i was doing backup recovery repeatedly for a few times with no problems. Then upon the 3rd try, Acronis pops up this message when i press F11.

    'Cannot Restore the original Configuration'

    Can anyone tell me what does this mean?

    Hi, Below are the answers. Sorry for late reply.


    - What is the exact product name and the build number of the product? You can find this information in the Help -> About dialog;
    1. Acronis True Image OEM edition Build 3577

    - Describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step;
    1. DUT bootup, press F11, then click 'Restore'. Reboot after 'Restoration is complete message'
    2. DUT bootup, press F11, then click 'Restore'. Reboot after 'Restoration is complete message'
    3. DUT bootup, press F11, message 'Cannot Restore the original configuration appears'.


    - When exactly have you received the above message?
    1. after i press F11.

    Note that additional information would be needed to investigate this issue thoroughly and to provide you with a possible solution.

    Could you please create Acronis Report as it is described in Acronis Help Post? This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.

    Please also be aware that the in order to solve the issue with Acronis True Image OEM edition you should contact the OEM vendor from which you have received the software.
