I have a Dell C610 laptop with Windows XP Media Center and a 60g hard drive. I have been successful in Imaging to internal disk, to External disk through USB 2.0 and also saving to DVD+RW.
I have restored successfully from the external USb 2.0 drive to a second drive. However I am now trying to restore from the DVD+RW media.
    The DVD+RW media verify OK
The problem I am having is that TI8 grays out the drive in my laptop which I have cleansed with DriveCleanser so I cannot make a selection as to the drive to restore to. With the External USB 2.0 drive the selection is fine.

I am using build 795 and a Vantec 5.25 external drive with a Plextor 716a dvd writer.
Why is it different with an external USB drive as to an external USb or Firewire DVD writer.
    Please advise
