Not sure if this has already been mentioned before, but it's not possible to access the TDS help from "Help->TDS Helpfile" (or F1) when there is no "tds-3.GID" file in the TDS Help folder. You get an error "Microsoft Help has encountered problems and needs to close."

If you manually double-click the "tds-3.hlp" file to open the help, the "tds-3.GID" file is created. The "Help->TDS Helpfile" (or F1) from within TDS will now work.

Very peculiar, probably to do with runtime file changes as you go through many revisions. If you add the XP code changes as well, theres a LOT of difference in a lot of areas that start popping up and causing weird problems

If you haven't already installed it, try the latest runtime ?

Already have latest runtime. I'm on XP Home SP2, fully patched.
