    Hi gang,

    I'm using vista 32bit. I see this ctfmon.exe (sometimes numerous ones) running and can't get rid of it. I don't have Office installed. This related to the narrator in vista I'm assuming.

    One article I came across said to unregister msimtf.dll and msctf.dll and I get a error code "The module "msimtf.dll" was loaded but the call to DLLUnregister Server failed with error code 0x80004005.

    Is there a way to stop write access to this file?

    Thanks

    Hi Rilla, I use this to get rid of ctfmon.exe. Works like a charm. If you don't need speech and/or handwriting recognition and don't use more than one keyboard layout then you don't need it.

    @Rmus

    I ran across that info and the tab is not like XP so I don't know what they mean there, but thanks.

    @Johnny y'da man. This is a neat little tool and works. I will put that little progie in my tool box. Thank you very much.
