I have a folder on my desktop that is a tax folder. I want to delete it, but get the reply that I need permission from myself to delete it.
How do I give myself permission to delete the foldero_O?
    Thanks,
    Jerry

Try using DOS to delete the folder
Open a Command prompt (Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt) <-- Right click and run as administrator
    type cd Desktop, press enter
type Del "foldername" , press enter

Thanks a lot. I did not know how to take command or run as administrator.
However, I had an external hard drive for back up and a Flash Drive both connected. Each had the folder on it.
I shut down the PC, removed the external back up devices, restarted and was able to delete the folder. I don' understand it, but it worked.

I am going to copy your posts for future reference.
    Many thanks to both.
    Jerry
