It has been some time since i burned a cd, recently when i tried to burn a cd it hasnt done so and i have wasted quite a few cd's doing so. I am using IMATION CD -R, 1- 52x, 700 mb cd's.
Am using Nero 7 ULTRA version to burn but no go also when i try to burn without the NERO just by adding the files to the cd in windows it still wont go ahead.
Am attaching the log created by NERO :

I've seen in cd/dvd burning forums where fixes as simple as blowing out the inside of the burner with air or changing to a different brand of cd/dvd media worked. Updating the firmware on the burner has also been a suggested fix, but that is a bit risky, imo, and probably better as a last resort.

Yes it could be that simple,i waisted spindles full of philips, imation,TDK and more, sometimes it worked but i had my share of coasters as well.

With the help of a burning forum i took for VERBATIM and never looked back,in all those years not one coaster !! :)

Try better quality media if possible (note even big brands like Sony or Verbatim sometimes go bad).
    Try burning at single speed.
Try burning disk at once rather than track at once, Nero has known issues with error correction in TAO, in DAO raw writting mode is used and does not suffer as much from these problems (also why I prefer to burn with clonecd).
Nero is fussy about other burning software, so worth uninstalling others installed.

I am trying to burn at as low as 14x & also have selected TRACK ONCE
but still no go. I could burn an audio cd using windows media player but when i try to burn a MP3 cd using NERO / copying the MP3 files directly to the cd in windows i get the error " ........... could not perform endtrack .... "

14x is not that low, you want to consider 8,4,2 or single speed.

You should try disc at once.
