I donwloaded the trial with the firewall just to see what its like. Heh... anyways, I don't really need the firewall as I have a hardware one. I have multiple applications that are inbound to my pc. I tried making a "allow all" rule with both tcp and udp allowed from everywhere, but that has absolutely no effect. so is my only option is to unistall this program or add everything I want inbound in an individual rule?

You can only disable them by unticking the appropriate box(es) and then create desired rules.
