Well today I decided to scan my 11 y/o brother's PC with HitmanPro, since it hadn't been scanned in a while, and he views many YouTube videos daily, and freely downloads things for Minecraft.

There was no malware, but there were cookies...for porn sites. I checked his history, and right after Thanksgiving, there were Google search results for various "things"... so is it possible some sites to download Minecraft stuff could have somehow done searches for porn, or is my brother just curious?

Also, should I tell my Mom or not? He has already had sex-ed, but he shouldn't be looking at porn right now...

    Thanks o_O

Yes. Boys watch porn. That's not a security thing. For god sake don't tell the kids mother.

Brandonn2010, while your 11 year old brother might not tell anyone about his viewing habits, at that age, curiosity trumps everything.

Regarding telling your Mom, only you can make that decision, taking into consideration the impact that it will have on you and your brother.

Any Web site or malware can do things to a PC, especially if a user allowed it to happen, yet here it seems that the subject matter has more to do with your brother's conduct than an actual security issue. Let's close this thread. Thanks!
