    I'd like to ask that people share what they know for OpenSource alternatives for Windows software as well as making their own list of what they might be looking for...

    These are alternatives I'm looking for;

    1. CCleaner?
    2. Revo Uninstaller?
    3. OpenSource firewall?
    4. OpenSource antivirus? (Besides Clam)

    These are some OpenSource alternatives I know...

    Hmmmm..... Open source is not always the best. I like the software that works very well. That,s all.

    Exactly, too many people treat open source as the holy grail, even to the point that they choose for a open source alternative while the closed one is better.

    It's all what works. Some people think the more they spend on software the better it is. It's all case by case.Way I see it.

    As far as accounting software goes, xTuple Postbooks is probably the closest to a Quickbooks replacement, more powerful but still needs some ease of use streamlining to make it compete with Intuits products.
