    Enable WMI support. this option is new in version 9.
    I read the help and it says : "When this option is enabled, you can download operating data from AntiVir Premium via WMI".
    I didn't understand what operating data it downloads.someone explain please.

    WMI = Windows Management Instrument

    Practically , I suspect that this option will allow the program share data about itselft (share its status with Windows Security Center , for example) . If this option is disabled , Security Center will report that no AV is detected.

    Thanks for replying.
    For me it doesn't matter if windows recognize avira or not because i disable windows security center and windows firewall too.

    The WMI option is quite handy actually, you can write your own scripts to read the applications status, VDF date, settings etc. This can for example be used in VBScript or pretty much any programming language, writing shiny Vista Sidebar Gadgets, or for administrative purposes as it may even be used remotely if configured properly.
