    Hi,

I have tried everything to remove the QuickStores toolbar in Firefox. Clicking on the bar and remove, located the unins000.exe , searched the registry, reinstalled Firefox: every time the tool bar comes up. This was installed without warning after an utility installation to unlock files.

    Please help me

    Thanks

I did exactly the same and deleted from the registry as well. I do not see anything related to the toolbar that can be un-installed (to my knowledge). I do not know how the bar is always there.

    Please help

PS I also tried with Revo uninstaller but it does not see the application.

    Thanks for helping

Simone, I was afraid of that. Unlocker installs Bing and QuickStore toolbars, however, they are supposed to be an "optional" installation.

Perhaps you can download Unlocker from Softpedia and try to install it again, this time watching each prompt for the toolbar installation so you can uncheck it. Then, check your Firefox browser and if the toolbar is not there, remove Unlocker.

I do not know how. I did a search in all the HDs then again in c: Explorer found some files with the name 'quickstores'. I deleted them relaunched FF and the stupid toolbar is not there.

    Many thanks for your time

Simone, consider yourself lucky! :thumb: You're welcome and take care.

Edit: Although for something else, review this ThreatExpert report for other QuickStore file locations!

After trying everything, I finally found the quickstores folder under the following location:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\extensions\quickstores@quickstores.de

    I deleted the folder 'quickstores@quickstores.de'
and that damn toolbar is no more..
