whats up guys/gals at wilders, my question is is it safe to disable UAC and Windows defender for vista 64 bit? my security set up is:

    -sandboxie 64 bit
    -threatfire (sensitivity level 4)
    -avira free (Max heuristics)
-computer behind a router with nat, spi, and anti spoof
    -windows firewall
-DEP for all programs and services
-firefox with adblock plus and web of trust

-on demand : MBAM free and SAS free

-not installed: i aslso i have a 1 year license to asquared anti malware and i might replace avira when version 5 is official since itll be a full antivirus instead of just on execution like 4.5)

    your suggestions and thoughts please

Honestly, with Avira you shouldn't have Windows Defender enabled anyway. And as for UAC, you are more than secure enough to have it disabled.

defender has some hips like functionality so its safer with it enabled if you don't mind the ram use so I'd leave it enabled, with correct use of sandboxie I don't see problems disabling UAC

On Windows 7 it doesn't anymore - it's the same options as MSE has in that version. In the separate version for XP it does though...
