Can I install image on different computer?

    I just bought a new computer (HP DV1000) and want to know if i can install my archived image from my old computer (a HP ZD7000) onto the new computer?

    Anyone have any experience/suggestions about this?

    Unless the hardware is identical or close it is recommended to do a clean install. The computer where you restore the image may fail to boot into Windows. Even if everything seems OK you can bet that you will have many problems lurking under the surface.
    This may also affect licensing if you use OEM software installed by HP.
